Growing up, Vikram spent every holiday in his grandmother’s village. Family members still joke that he’d be bathed and sent into the farm – only to be found an hour later, sound asleep on the cows, smelling of dung and mud. While other boys played elsewhere, Vikram marvelled at the workings of a farm. The animals. The soil. The rhythms of a working land.
After college, he went back to the village to try farming. It didn’t work out. He lasted less than a year before moving on – studying further, building a career, and eventually settling into corporate life in Chennai with his wife and two daughters, Kimaaya and Sahana.

But the dream never left. One morning, he and his wife stopped waiting — packed up, moved to Coimbatore, and started building the farm they had always imagined. Dry, arid land. Two dried-up wells.
